Department of Electrical Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) primarily offers comprehensive undergraduate and diploma programs designed to provide students with a robust theoretical foundation and practical expertise. We place a significant emphasis on experiential learning through a curriculum rich in practical components, industrial visits, internships, and hands-on projects.
Our mission is to cultivate highly skilled engineers capable of developing, operating, and managing the rapidly evolving electrical energy sector. By integrating advanced software training, modern instrumentation, and essential coding skills, we prepare the next generation of engineers to build reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable energy systems.
Choosing to study Electrical Engineering at GTU-ITR places students at the heart of a vibrant, fast-moving discipline. Our program bridges the gap between conventional power systems and cutting-edge technologies, covering essential fields such as:
- Power Systems: Generation, Transmission, and Distribution of Electrical Energy.
- Manufacturing: HV/LV Electrical Equipment and Power/Signal Electronics.
- Modern Technology: Renewable Energy, Industrial Automation & Control, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
- Advanced Computing: Digital Electronics, AI, Machine Learning, and Embedded Systems.
- Future Mobility: Electric Vehicles (EV) and integrated Information Technology & Communications.
